Welcome to the Team! Meet our Reuse Consortium Coordinator Maternity Cover

Circular Communities Scotland’s Reuse Consortium is delighted to welcome a new member of staff to our team.

Rhoda Reid joins us as Maternity Cover for our Reuse Consortium Coordinator role and will be the main point of contact for the Reuse Consortium from the 24th of March onwards.

We would like to extend a huge congratulations to our our permanent Reuse Consortium Coordinator Nicola Aeberli on starting her family and wish her all the best in her extended leave. We look forward to welcoming Nicola back to her full-time role late January 2024.

Rhoda joins Circular Communities Scotland following over 16 years as CEO of a befriending and mentoring charity for children and young people, COVEY Befriending, and brings a wealth of experience in leadership and working with diverse stakeholders.

The team are pleased to welcome Rhoda who will help ensure our award winning Reuse Consortium continues to thrive and provide the best possible service to local authority and housing association buyers.

Rhoda says:

“In 2022 I moved on from my leadership position in a growing Lanarkshire charity supporting children, young people, and families. Wanting to reclaim some free time I was delighted to see the advert for the coordinator post with Circular Communities Scotland. Here was an organisation that was forward looking, growing steadily and would be a place for me to build on already established relationships with Local Authorities and locally based charities. With my previous experience, I can understand the challenges that are faced by organisations and bring an understanding approach to all my interactions.

Being passionate about the significant contribution that the Third Sector makes across Scotland, I’m delighted to be part of a team with shared values. I love the fact that Circular Communities Scotland’s members are so diverse, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to meet members of the Consortium in the course of my role finding out about the impact they make in their communities and beyond.”
